The U.S. has confirmed that an Indian official, named in the Department of Justice’s indictment in the alleged plot to kill Pro-Khalistan leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, has been “removed” by the Indian government. This statement followed an inquiry by an Indian team visiting the U.S. to investigate potential links of Indian entities targeting the Sikh community.

US State Department Spokesperson Mathew Miller expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between India and the U.S. on the matter. White House National Security Advisor John Kirby emphasized India’s seriousness, as demonstrated by the inquiry team’s visit. Both nations will continue to collaborate closely on the ongoing investigation.
