Sharing is caring!

Mumbai, February 2:

Veteran Bollywood singer Udit Narayan is under fire after a video of him kissing female fans during a live concert surfaced online. The clips, widely shared on social media, show him performing Tip Tip Barsa Pani as several women gather near the stage for selfies.

In the footage, Narayan can be seen kissing some of the fans on the lips after taking pictures, sparking a wave of criticism from netizens. While a section of people has defended him, stating it was a spontaneous moment with enthusiastic admirers, many others have called out the act, questioning its appropriateness in a public setting.

Udit Narayan Responds to the Controversy

Addressing the backlash, Narayan said, “Fans itne deewane hote hain na. Hum log aise nahi hain, hum decent log hain. Some people encourage this and show their love through this. Udaake kya karna hai ab iss cheez ko? There are so many people in the crowd, and we have bodyguards present too. But fans think they are getting a chance to meet, so someone extends their hands for a handshake, some kiss the hands… yeh sab deewangi hoti hai. Uspe itna dhyaan nahi dena chahiye.

He further added, “Fans can be so passionate. We are not like that; we are decent people. Some people show their love through gestures like this. What’s the point of making a big deal out of it? There are so many people in the crowd, and we have bodyguards too. Fans think it’s their chance to meet, so some extend their hands for a handshake, others kiss the hands… it’s all part of the enthusiasm. It shouldn’t be given too much attention.

Despite his clarification, social media continues to be divided, with many users insisting that public figures should respect personal boundaries, especially in such situations. The debate over the singer’s actions remains ongoing, as discussions about appropriate fan interactions in the entertainment industry gain momentum.
