Two Men Plead Guilty to Murder of Ripudaman Singh Malik, Acquitted in 1985 Air India Bombing Case

Tanner Fox and Jose Lopez have pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the 2022 killing of Ripudaman Singh Malik, who was acquitted in the 1985 Air India bombing. Malik, 75, was shot outside his business in Surrey, British Columbia. Both men admitted to being hired to carry out the murder, though details on the mastermind behind the assassination remain unclear. Malik’s family has urged further investigation to bring those who orchestrated the killing to justice.
