The crowd gathered for the event was filled with immense anger and enthusiasm. Banners held in hands displayed slogans such as “Na Batenge Na Katenge, Ek Rahenge Safe Rahenge” and “Bangladesh Murdabad.” During the protest, the effigies of the Bangladesh government and its acting leader Mohammad Yunus were burned to express their outrage.
Mahant Manoj Sharma stated, “The Bangladesh that was created with the sacrifices of thousands of Indian soldiers, the Bangladesh for which Indian mothers lost their sons, women lost their husbands, sisters lost their brothers, and children lost their fathers, today that Bangladesh is inflicting grave atrocities on Bangladeshi Hindus. Their daughters-in-law and sisters are being dishonored, Hindu temples are being destroyed and burned, Hindus and cows are being killed. Bangladesh, which has survived on India’s mercy, no longer deserves our mercy, it is time to show Bangladesh its place.”
