While going to Tikkar Tal located in Morni, Panchkula, a bus full of children of Nankana Sahib Public School fell into a ditch. The injured children have been brought to Sector 6 Hospital.
According to the information, school children from Malerkotla, Punjab had come to visit Morni in two buses. There were 55 girls in one bus and 45 boys in the other bus. A school bus full of boys lost control and fell into a ditch. 14 children including the driver have been badly injured in this accident.
Around 12 noon on Saturday, 100 school children had come from Malerkotla in two tourist buses to visit Morni. When a bus driver reached Tikkartal in Morni, he lost his balance and the bus overturned after going about 100 feet below the road.
As soon as the information was received, local people and police reached the spot. All the children got out of the buses. After this, the injured were taken to the government hospital in Morni for treatment by ambulance.
Dharmendra 50, Vikram 18, Sukhjeet Singh 18, Harman Singh 16, Jagdeep Singh 35, Karmveer Singh 15, Ranbir 16, Jasjeet Singh 18, Diljot Singh 16, Jekaran 17, Sandeep 33, Veer Davinder 17, Japjeet 18, Inderjeet Singh 17 Sector 6 are hospitalized. Satnam Singh, 27, Jagdeep Singh, 35, and Vinod Chhabra, 54, have been referred to Chandigarh PGI.
