Sharing is caring!

Telangana, January 23:

A gruesome murder case has been reported in Venkateswara Colony, located within the Meerpet Police Station limits of Rangareddy district.

Authorities allege that a retired army man killed his wife, dismembered her body, and boiled some parts in a pressure cooker while disposing of others in a nearby lake. The Meerpet Police have filed a case and launched a detailed investigation.

LB Nagar DCP shared, “A missing person’s report was filed on January 17, and the husband has since confessed to killing his wife. According to him, he stabbed her, chopped the body, and disposed of it in a lake. However, we are still verifying his claims as the investigation continues.”

Incident Details

The case initially came to light when a missing complaint was filed by the victim’s mother, Subamma, at Jillelaguda under Meerpet Police Station. She reported that her daughter Madhavi, who had been married for 13 years and lived with her husband and two children, was untraceable.

Inspector Nagaraju of Meerpet Police explained, “On January 18, Subamma lodged a complaint stating her daughter Madhavi, married to Gurumurthy—a retired army personnel now working as a security guard—was missing. The couple had been living with their two children in Venkateswara Colony for the past five years. On January 16, the couple had an argument, after which Madhavi reportedly left the house.”

Police suspect foul play as Gurumurthy confessed to killing Madhavi during questioning. While the case is still under investigation, efforts are ongoing to recover evidence and confirm the details of the crime.

Further inquiries are underway to uncover the full truth behind this chilling incident.
