Manav Sharma, a resident of Defense Colony, Sadar, was working as a Recruitment Manager at TCS in Mumbai. His father, Narendra Sharma, is a retired Air Force officer, and Manav was his only son. He got married a year ago, on January 30, 2024, but soon after, his life took a distressing turn.

Serious Allegations Against Wife

In a complaint filed at Sadar police station, Manav’s father accused his daughter-in-law of mentally harassing his son since their marriage. He claimed that she frequently threatened suicide, putting the entire family under pressure. Allegedly, she was also involved with another man and often spoke to him over the phone.

On February 23, Manav returned from Mumbai to Agra with his wife and dropped her off at Barhan, where he was reportedly mistreated by his in-laws.

Heartbreaking Final Video

On the morning of February 24, Manav hanged himself from the ceiling fan in his room. Before taking his own life, he recorded a 6-minute, 57-second-long video, voicing the struggles men face in society.

In the emotional video, he said, “Think about men too, please. Someone should talk about them. They are very lonely. Dad, Mom, I’m sorry. Akku, I’m sorry. Everything will be fine after I’m gone. Please don’t trouble my family because of my suicide.”

Family Devastated

His family discovered him hanging in his room in the morning, plunging them into grief. They rushed him to the hospital, but it was too late.

This heartbreaking incident has sparked a serious debate about the mental struggles men endure in society. The police have begun an investigation, and efforts are underway to ensure justice for the grieving family.
