Punjab, December 5:
New revelations continue to emerge regarding the attack on Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal. Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia has alleged that SP Harpal Singh met Narayan Singh Chawda, the attacker, within the premises of Sri Harmandir Sahib.
Majithia, citing CCTV footage released by the SGPC, claimed that Chawda had been roaming around the Sri Harmandir Sahib complex and its vicinity for three days. He further alleged that a day before the incident, SP Harpal Singh was seen shaking hands with Chawda, as clearly captured on CCTV footage.
Majithia demanded an investigation into whether the police had a role in planning the attack. He insisted that a thorough probe be conducted to uncover the truth behind the incident.
