Security Heightened at Canadian High Commission in Delhi Amid Hindu-Sikh Forum Protest Over Temple Attacks in Canada

Sharing is caring!

Delhi, Nov 10

In response to recent attacks on Hindu temples in Canada, members of the Hindu Sikh Global Forum staged a protest march toward the Canadian High Commission in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri area. Security has been intensified, with police setting up barricades to prevent any disruption to public order, although some protesters reportedly attempted to breach the barriers.

A senior police officer stated, “Additional forces and barricades have been deployed outside the Canadian High Commission. We will ensure that law and order is maintained.” The protest follows a series of incidents involving Hindu temples in Canada, with the most recent reported vandalism occurring at a temple in Brampton on November 4. The demonstration reflects growing concerns among diaspora communities about the safety of religious institutions abroad.
