Kaithal (Haryana), February 17:
In a tragic incident on Monday morning, a school bus carrying students skidded off the road and plunged into the SYL canal in Haryana’s Kaithal, leaving eight students seriously injured.
The accident occurred around 8 AM when a bus from Guru Nanak Academy, Pehowa, was transporting students from nearby villages. According to initial reports, the vehicle suffered a technical malfunction, causing the driver to lose control.
Apart from the students, the driver and a female attendant also sustained severe injuries. Local authorities and bystanders rushed to the scene to assist in the rescue operations.
The injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
