Faridabad, December 5:
Member of an interstate gang involved in robbery and theft cases was arrested after encounter with a team of Crime Branch on Wednesday night. He was wanted in at least 12 criminal cases.
The robber has been admitted to a hospital under police security.
According to police officials, the accused has been identified as Vipin hailing from Bihar.
Vipin (30) was stopped by the police as he reached Chandila Chowk in Greater Faridabad. The accused came out of the vehicle and opened fire on the cops, making the police open fire in self-defence. It resulted in a bullet hitting him on his leg.
The accused was admitted to the civil hospital for treatment.
