Rahul Gandhi got bail from the court in the defamation case, he had made a comment against Amit Shah
Sultanpur, February 20, 2024 : Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has been granted bail by the Parliamentarian-Legislative Court of Sultanpur on Tuesday in a defamation case. After bail, Rahul filled two bonds of 25 thousand rupees each. Apart from this, two people took his bail of the same amount. The case against Rahul is related to an alleged insulting remark he made against Amit Shah in Karnataka 5 years ago.
Rahul had said during the 2018 Karnataka elections that the president of the party who spoke of honesty was accused of murder. After this, Sultanpur BJP leader Vijay Mishra filed a defamation case against Rahul on 4 August 2018. To appear in court.Rahul reached Sultanpur by car from Amethi leaving the Bharat Joko Nyan Yatra. Earlier they had planned to go by plane but suddenly decided to go by car. Rahul will now return to Fursatganj in Amethi by car and start the 5th day Nyan Yatra in UP from Amethi.
