Double Olympic medallist and badminton icon PV Sindhu is preparing to embark on a new chapter as she gets ready to marry Venkata Datta Sai, an IT professional from Hyderabad. The wedding is set to take place on December 22 in Udaipur, with pre-wedding celebrations kicking off on December 20. A grand reception is scheduled in Hyderabad on December 24.
The wedding date was finalized recently to align with Sindhu’s busy calendar. With the 2025 badminton season commencing in January, her family opted for a December ceremony to ensure she could focus on her training and competitions soon after.
About the Groom, Venkata Datta Sai
The groom-to-be, Venkata Datta Sai, serves as the Executive Director of Posidex Technologies, a Hyderabad-based firm specializing in data analytics. He is the son of GT Venkateshwar Rao, the Managing Director of Posidex Technologies and a former IRS officer.
Sai’s educational credentials include a Diploma in Liberal Studies from the Foundation of Liberal and Management Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Flame University, and a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from IIIT Bangalore. Professionally, he has held roles with JSW and managed an IPL team before joining Posidex Technologies in 2019.

PV Sindhu is celebrated as one of India’s most accomplished athletes, with a career that includes two Olympic medals—a silver from Rio 2016 and a bronze from Tokyo 2020. She has also secured five World Championship medals, including a historic gold in 2019.
