Punjab police traces ICICI Bank robbery case within hours; 3 held with .30 bore pistol, robbed money

The above fir was registered on statement of Malik Singh, Relationship Manager, ICICI Bank, branch Tarn Taran Road Amritsar that on the afternoon of 06-04-2024, 03 boys entered the bank, one of whom was carrying a pistol and they threatened the cashier to handover all cash to them and fled with cash. amounting12,78,122/- rupees . The above mentioned Fir  was registered in Police Station B-Division, Amritsar.

Immediately,taking cognisance of the serious nature of crime,all senior officers,including Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, rushed to the scene of crime,and various teams were formed under supervision of Mr. Harpreet Singh Mander, DCP Investigation, Amritsar and Mr. Navjot Singh, ADCP City- 1, and Mr. Gurinderbir Singh  Sidhu ACP East, Amritsar, and different tasks and instructions were assigned to SHO  Police Station B-Division and different teams of all 3 CIA staffs of Commissionerate Amritsar.

Following various human int and technical leads,and working tirelessly throughout the night,all 03 accused have been arrested and recovered 7,70,000/- rupees, 01 pistol .30 bore including 05 rounds and 01 dummy pistol.

Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the police teams investigated the case from all aspects and 03 accused who carried out the robbery in the bank, Suraj aged 22 years, Inderjit Singh alias Sajjan, aged 19 years, Prince alias Shera aged 32 years, all three residents of Sultanwind. Road, Amritsar, 7,70,000/- rupees, 01 pistol .30 bore including 05 rounds and 01 dummy pistol have been recovered from them.

The arrested accused will be produced in the Honourable Court and remanded and interrogated thoroughly.
