Patna, May 13
Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a significant visit to Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, in the heart of Patna City on Monday. The pilgrimage marked a momentous occasion as security arrangements were meticulously planned and implemented for the PM’s visit.
Takhat Sri Patna Sahib, also recognized as Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, stands as one of the five revered takhats of the Sikh community, situated in the capital city of Bihar. Its construction was initiated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh during the 18th century, a gesture to commemorate the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh guru.
Guru Gobind Singh, born in Patna in 1666, spent his formative years in this very city before later relocating to Anandpur Sahib. The Prime Minister’s visit holds immense significance, intertwining historical reverence with contemporary leadership.
The visit to Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, followed a notable roadshow held by Modi in the state capital, marking a historic first for any Prime Minister in Bihar. His engagement underscores the importance of connecting with the people at grassroots levels, resonating with the spirit of democracy.
Modi’s itinerary includes addressing election rallies in support of NDA nominees in Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, and Saran on the same day, further demonstrating his commitment to engaging with the electorate directly. As the nation gears up for electoral activities, the Prime Minister’s presence in Bihar adds momentum to the political landscape, emphasizing the state’s significance in national discourse.
