Advocate Pravindra Singh Chauhan has been appointed as the new Advocate General (AG) of Haryana, announced on Monday. He is the second AG under the BJP-led Haryana Government.

Prior to Chauhan’s appointment, Baldev Raj Mahajan had held the position of Haryana AG since 2014.
A notification issued by Dr. Sumit Misra, Additional Chief Secretary of the Haryana Government’s Justice Department, stated, “In exercise of the powers vested under Article 165 of the Indian Constitution, the Government of Haryana has appointed Pravindra Singh Chauhan, Senior Additional Advocate General of Haryana, as the Advocate General of the state with immediate effect.
