Late Thursday night in the Jassia Road area of Ludhiana, Punjab, an encounter took place between a criminal and the police. The CIA (Crime Investigation Agency) team had set up a blockade in the Habowal-Jassia Road area when they noticed a suspicious young man passing by. The police signaled him to stop, but during the search, the suspect suddenly pulled out an illegal pistol and began firing at the officers. The criminal fired two shots, causing panic among the police personnel.
Criminal Injured in Retaliatory Firing The police quickly regained control and responded with gunfire. During the exchange, one bullet hit the suspect’s leg, causing him to fall to the ground, injured. The police immediately subdued the criminal on the spot and recovered the pistol from him. He was then rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Suspect Linked to Robbery and Theft Cases Preliminary information indicates that the suspect is a resident of the Tajpur Road area in Ludhiana and has been involved in several incidents of robbery and theft. After receiving medical treatment, the police will interrogate the suspect to gather more information about other cases.
