Mumbai Police disclosed that a photograph of NCP leader Baba Siddique’s son, Zeeshan Siddique, was discovered on the phone of one of the arrested accused in connection with Siddique’s murder. A handler reportedly shared the image via Snapchat, with messages deleted after instructions were given.
During interrogation, arrested suspect Ram Kanojia revealed that he was initially offered a one crore rupee contract to kill Baba Siddique but backed out, prompting the hiring of shooters from Uttar Pradesh. A lookout notice has been issued for fugitive suspect Shubham Lonkar and two others, believed to be attempting to flee to Nepal.
Baba Siddique was shot outside his office and later succumbed to his injuries at Lilavati Hospital on October 12.
