Satnam Singh Chahal, Executive Director of the North American Punjabi Association (NAPA), has welcomed the Pakistan government’s decision to offer free online visas within 30 minutes of arrival to Sikh community members from the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.

Chahal also urged the governments of Pakistan and India to reopen the Wagah border to facilitate cross-border trade.

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that Sikh pilgrims from the US, UK, and Canada will be granted free online visas within 30 minutes of arrival, enabling them to visit their religious sites in Pakistan.

Naqvi made this statement during a meeting with a 44-member foreign delegation of Sikh pilgrims in Lahore on Thursday.

In a statement, Chahal praised the interior minister’s announcement, noting that it simplifies the visa application process.
