A murder case has been filed against Jassi Dhatt, District President of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Doaba, and organization leader Dalveer Singh Cheena alias DC Noorpura, along with over a dozen others, for the alleged killing of local BKU leader Amandeep Singh alias Amna Pandori. The leaders are accused of fatally shooting Pandori with the help of associates.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Friday at the BKU office near the historic Gurudwara Tahliyana Sahib in Raikot. Reportedly, during an argument over a family dispute, DC Noorpura shot Amna Pandori with his revolver. All suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

The police were informed of the incident by Amna Pandori’s brother, Mukand Singh, who called Punjab Police’s emergency number, 112, to report that Jassi Dhatt and DC Noorpura had shot his brother. Upon receiving the information, Raikot DSP Harjinder Singh and Inspector Davinder Singh from the City Police Station arrived at the scene with a police team to begin the investigation.

According to sources, alcohol was being consumed at the BKU office at the time of the incident, and the suspects had called Amna Pandori to the office to discuss an issue. It is said that Pandori had been upset with District President Jassi Dhatt and DC Noorpura over a family matter, which led to a heated argument and ultimately the shooting.

The deceased, Amna Pandori, had multiple criminal cases registered against him, and several local criminals reportedly used the BKU Doaba as a cover. This incident raises concerns about ongoing internal conflicts and disputes within the organization. The murder has heightened fears of gang rivalry in the region.
