Both movies were produced by Maddock Films, and now producer Dinesh Vijan has announced the next film in Maddock’s horror-comedy universe, Thaama. On the occasion of Diwali, the makers of Stree 2 released a motion poster for Thaama, which has sparked even more anticipation among fans.
The motion poster, shared by Maddock Films on social media during Chhoti Diwali, starts with a romantic song but quickly transitions into an eerie, suspenseful scene with the title “Thaama” displayed in bold, terrifying letters. This announcement also revealed the film’s star-studded cast, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for his successful horror comedy Munjya.
Following the Thaama announcement, fan excitement is at an all-time high, with many eagerly awaiting the film’s release. Maddock Films has scheduled Thaama for a Diwali 2025 release. There are also rumors suggesting Thaama could be connected to the project previously rumored under the name Vampire of Vijay Nagar, though this has yet to be confirmed. One thing is certain: Maddock Films is fully committed to expanding its horror-comedy universe.
