Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently the subject of much discussion. Especially in Punjab, people are interpreting the significance of this meeting in various ways.
Some view it as a positive initiative by Diljit, while others, particularly hardliners, are criticizing the meeting. It is noteworthy that Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time on Wednesday and described the meeting as a “grand start” for 2025.
Diljit had recently concluded his ‘DIL-LUMINATI’ tour across India. Following the meeting, Diljit shared glimpses of his interaction with the Prime Minister on his social media. In the post, he wrote, “A grand start to 2025, a memorable meeting with Prime Minister @narendramodi. We discussed many things, including music!”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also responded to Dosanjh’s post on ‘X’, writing, “Great conversation with Diljit Dosanjh! He is truly versatile, blending talent and tradition. We are connected through music, culture, and many other things.”
In a video shared by Dosanjh, he is seen entering a room with a bouquet of flowers, which he presents to the Prime Minister.
