Chandigarh, December 19:
In response to complaints of severe traffic congestion, noise pollution, and business disruptions during recent concerts in Sector 34, the Chandigarh administration has decided to move AP Dhillon’s concert, scheduled for December 21, to Sector 25.
The event will now take place at the rally ground in Sector 25, an area typically designated for protests and rallies. Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav confirmed the change, emphasizing the need to address concerns from local residents and traders.
This move follows similar disruptions during concerts by Karan Aujla and Diljit Dosanjh in the same sector, with significant inconveniences for commuters. The administration has indicated that no future concerts will be allowed in Sector 34.
However, events in Sector 25 may also face challenges, as traffic disruptions are common during rallies in the area.
Additionally, Arijit Singh’s concert is scheduled for February 16, but the venue for this event is yet to be confirmed.
