Amritsar (Punjab), December 17:
A loud noise resembling a blast was reported at the Islamabad Police Station in Amritsar, Punjab, during the early hours of Tuesday, December 17. Police confirmed the incident occurred around 3 a.m., with no damages or injuries reported.
Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar stated that a sentry stationed at the police station heard the sound between 3 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. He also mentioned that individuals had claimed responsibility for the incident on social media.
“We verified those claims. Earlier, we had apprehended 10 individuals linked to a module, including two brothers—one of whom is a juvenile,” Bhullar explained.
He further added, “Another suspect, Aman Khokhar, along with two or three others, is on our radar and will be apprehended soon. Previous incidents have been examined, and we are verifying the specifics of what was used here. We are committed to taking this investigation to its logical conclusion. This module will be neutralized, and we remain vigilant.”
