Arunish Chawla, a senior officer, has been appointed as the Revenue Secretary in the Ministry of Finance. Previously, Chawla served as the Secretary in the Pharmaceuticals Department of the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers and will continue to hold the additional responsibility as the Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.
In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle announced on December 25, Neerja Sekhar, an IAS officer of the 1993 batch from the Haryana cadre, has been appointed as the Director General of the National Productivity Council (NPC). Sekhar, who was previously the Special Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, will now lead the NPC.
Rachna Sah has been designated as the Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training, having previously served as the Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles.
Vineet Joshi, the Chief Secretary of Manipur, has been appointed as the Secretary in the Higher Education Department under the Union Ministry of Education.
Sanjay Sethi has been named the Secretary of the National Commission for Minorities.
Additionally, Amit Agarwal has been appointed as the Secretary of the Pharmaceuticals Department, and Neelam Shami Rao will take over as the Secretary of the Textiles Ministry.
