Army Personnel Injured in Ongoing Encounter with Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar Forests

An Army personnel sustained injuries in a gunfight with terrorists on Sunday in the remote Keshwan forest area of Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, officials reported.

The encounter began when joint search teams from the Army and local police encountered terrorists hiding in the forest around 11 am. The operation in the Kuntwara and Keshwan forests has been underway since Thursday evening, following the killing of two village defense guards.

According to a police spokesperson, three to four terrorists, believed to be from the same group responsible for the recent killings of innocent villagers, are currently trapped in the area. The exchange of heavy gunfire continues between the security forces and the terrorists, with further updates awaited.
