The election fever has intensified for the Bar Association in Panchkula District Court. As the elections are set for February 28, the lawyers contesting for various positions in the Bar Association have already prepared their manifestos and started campaigning. Lawyers are vying for positions including President, Vice-President, General Secretary, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Treasurer.

Advocate Amit Goyal, who is contesting for the position of Secretary, stated that his focus would be on getting work done for the Bar Association from the government. One of the main issues will be securing stipends for new lawyers coming to the district court.

Advocate Goyal further shared that efforts will be made to create new chambers for new lawyers who do not yet have them, especially after the construction of two additional floors in the Shaheed Major Anuj Rajput Lawyer Chamber Building.

The existing library for lawyers will also be upgraded. There will be efforts to provide better facilities for female lawyers. Additionally, efforts will be made to provide insurance facilities for all district court lawyers, along with several other issues. These matters will be raised with the government and resolved. Meanwhile, the candidates contesting the elections have increased their campaigning by putting up large posters outside their office buildings, signaling the start of their election drive. The nomination process for the elections will begin in February, but the election activities have already gained full momentum. One of the main issues will be securing stipends for new lawyers joining the district court.

There are plans to upgrade the lawyers’ library, provide better facilities for female lawyers, and secure insurance benefits for all district court lawyers. These issues will be raised with the government and addressed. Candidates have stepped up their campaign efforts, displaying large posters outside their offices, and the election buzz has already begun. The formal nomination process for the elections will begin in February.
