Adopted Child Abuse: Father Sold Jaskaran Singh for ₹3.50 Lakh, Brother Reveals the Truth

Sharing is caring!

Patiala, February 6:

A shocking case of child abuse has emerged in Patiala, where a 10-year-old boy, Jaskaran Singh, was subjected to brutal torture by a woman who allegedly burned him with a hot iron and physically assaulted him. Investigations have revealed that the child’s own father had sold him to the accused woman for ₹3.50 lakh.

On Wednesday, Jaskaran’s grandmother, uncle, and younger brother arrived in Patiala to meet him. Seeing her grandson in such a terrible condition, the grandmother broke down in tears, devastated by the cruelty he had suffered.

Father Sold the Child After Divorce

According to Jaskaran’s uncle, Gurpreet Singh, his elder brother, who works as a driver, divorced his wife after failing to provide financial support. Both parents remarried and started new lives. About a year ago, Jaskaran’s father told the family that he was taking him to enroll in school. However, whenever they asked to meet or speak with Jaskaran, he always avoided the request, raising suspicions.

Truth Revealed After Repeated Questions

After continuous questioning, Jaskaran’s father finally admitted that he had sold the child for ₹3.50 lakh. The revelation left the family in shock. His grandmother stated that they had no idea that the woman who had taken Jaskaran was subjecting him to such inhumane treatment.

Demand for Legal Action Against the Father

Pal Singh Kharod, a member of the “Apna Farz Seva Society,” has demanded strict legal action against Jaskaran’s father to ensure that no other parent repeats such a horrific act. He also revealed that the accused father had abandoned his younger son at a gurdwara, where he is currently receiving education.

The organization has appealed for custody of both children, assuring that they will provide them with proper care and education. The NGO has committed to supporting the children until they turn 18, allowing them to decide their future independently.

Notably, this case came to light after the organization’s chief sevadar, Satpal Singh, lodged a complaint with the police, leading to Jaskaran’s rescue from the accused woman. Pal Singh Kharod further revealed that after the news spread, multiple people came forward with testimonies about the severe abuse Jaskaran had endured.

Reports indicate that the accused woman, Mani Sharma, previously lived in Patiala’s Gobind Bagh area. It was also discovered that she once pushed Jaskaran into hot water, severely burning his arm. Police have initiated further investigations into the case.
