AAP Demands Congress's Expulsion from INDIA Bloc, Alleges Collaboration with BJP

New Delhi, December 26:

In a significant political move, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced plans to engage with its INDIA bloc partners to advocate for the removal of the Congress from the alliance.

Sources within AAP reveal growing dissatisfaction with Congress leaders’ recent statements against the party and the call for an FIR against AAP’s national convener, Arvind Kejriwal.

The Youth Congress recently filed a complaint at the Parliament Street police station, accusing Kejriwal of misleading voters and committing fraudulent acts. The complaint stems from allegations regarding poll promises invalidated by two Delhi government departments.

An AAP leader alleged, “We will consult INDIA bloc partners to seek Congress’s expulsion. Congress is working hand-in-hand with the BJP.”

The controversy escalated after two Delhi government departments published notices in newspapers warning the public against registering for two new welfare schemes announced by AAP. The notices discredited the registration process initiated by Kejriwal and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, describing the schemes as “non-existent.”

AAP dismissed the notices as “false and baseless,” asserting that legal and administrative actions would be taken against the officials responsible.

To gain public support, AAP had introduced the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana and the Sanjeevani Yojana. These initiatives promised a monthly financial aid of ₹2,100 to women and comprehensive healthcare coverage for senior citizens if AAP retained power.

However, notices issued by the health and women and child development departments cautioned citizens against sharing personal details with unauthorized individuals or entities, labeling any such attempts as fraudulent.

Kejriwal responded by accusing the BJP of coercing government officials into issuing the notices. “The BJP is unnerved by the popularity of these welfare schemes and is obstructing Delhi’s residents from reaping their benefits,” he stated.

He further clarified that the Delhi cabinet had already approved a plan to provide ₹1,000 to every woman, with the notification for the same already in effect.
