Bollywood icon Aamir Khan has taken decisive legal action against a fabricated advertisement purportedly endorsed by him. The advertisement, a deep fake video engineered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), falsely implicates Khan in political endorsement. Targeting the ruling BJP, the ad alleges promises of Rs 15 lakh per citizen, using a deceptive clip from Khan’s show ‘Satyamev Jayate’. Khan has vehemently denied any political affiliations throughout his illustrious 35-year career, emphasizing his commitment to public awareness campaigns endorsed by the Election Commission. Khan’s spokesperson has confirmed that legal measures have been initiated, including filing an FIR with Mumbai Police’s Cyber Crime Cell. Khan urges all citizens to participate in the electoral process actively, condemning the dissemination of false information.
