Violence and chaos have erupted in several areas during the municipal corporation and municipal council elections in Punjab. In Ward 40 of Patiala, a stone-pelting incident occurred between BJP candidate Anuj Khosla and AAP workers. Khosla accused AAP workers of attacking him and throwing stones. Police and Border Security Force (BSF) were deployed to control the situation.

In addition, BJP candidate Anuj Khosla, expressing frustration with the opposing party, doused himself in petrol, creating a sensation in the area.
