Local media outlets in Paris have reported a distressing incident at a police station in the French capital, wherein two police officers were shot by a detainee who managed to seize one of their service weapons. The incident unfolded during a routine search procedure at the station.

According to sources cited by BFMTV channel and the newspaper Le Parisien, the assailant had been apprehended on Thursday evening on charges related to domestic violence. As officers were conducting a search, the individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, unexpectedly gained control of a firearm and opened fire, injuring two officers in the process.Reports indicate that one officer sustained injuries to the upper body, while the other was shot in the thigh. In response to the attack, police personnel at the station retaliated, reportedly injuring the assailant. All parties involved were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
