Guruharsahai, January 31:
A devastating road accident in Punjab’s Firozpur district has claimed nine lives. The incident occurred near Golu Ka Mod on the Firozpur road in Guruharsahai when a pickup vehicle crashed into a stationary canter parked on the roadside.
According to reports, around 25 to 30 waiters were traveling in the pickup, heading from Guruharsahai to Jalalabad for an event. The impact of the collision was so severe that nine people lost their lives on the spot, while several others sustained serious injuries. The injured have been rushed to the hospital, with some in critical condition.
Initial investigations suggest that dense fog and high speed may have contributed to the accident. Authorities are looking into the matter, and the death toll could potentially rise.
