Ambala, March 3:
A high-speed Haryana Roadways bus collided with a scooter near the Shastri Colony cut on the Ambala-Delhi Highway, resulting in a fatal accident. In the incident, 45-year-old Amarnath lost his life on the spot, while his 20-year-old son, Keshav, sustained severe injuries.
After receiving initial medical treatment, Keshav was referred to Chandigarh PGI for further care. The police arrived at the scene immediately and began their investigation. Reports suggest that the bus involved in the accident belonged to the Sonipat depot. The impact of the collision caused both father and son to fall onto the highway, making the situation even more serious.
Sudden Brakes Shocked Passengers
Due to the high speed of the bus, the sudden braking caused a jolt to the passengers inside. However, none of them sustained major injuries. The passengers were stranded for nearly half an hour before another bus arrived to take them to their destinations.
Accident Occurred on the Way to Work
Amarnath, a resident of Rangia Mandi, worked as a mechanic in the city’s motor market, while his son Keshav was employed at a shoe store. According to their relative, Ved, both had left home on their scooter, heading to work as usual when the tragic accident took place.
