In a tragic road accident on Diwali night near the posh Model Town area in Jalandhar, a father and son lost their lives. The accident occurred as Sandeep Sharma (53) and his son, Sanan Sharma (17), were standing by the roadside preparing to head home after a party. A high-speed collision between two cars led to the two being fatally struck, killing them instantly at the scene.
Police have sent their bodies for post-mortem and have begun investigating the case. The accident took place outside Thind Eye Hospital on Mall Road in Model Town. Witnesses reported that two cars were speeding, causing one car to lose control and collide with another car and an SUV.
Three vehicles were damaged in the incident—a Brezza (PB-08-EM-6066), Venue (PB-08-EM-3609), and XUV (PB-08-EF-0900). The Brezza was completely wrecked, and the loud sound of the crash could be heard from afar.
The deceased were identified as Sandeep Sharma and his son Sanan Sharma from Makadumpura, Dhobi Mohalla. This tragic accident has cast a pall of sorrow over the entire area. Police are investigating the case and working to identify the drivers of the speeding cars responsible for the accident.
