Yamunanagar (Haryana), December 26:
In a shocking incident on Thursday morning in Haryana’s Yamunanagar district, three youths were targeted by masked assailants on bikes, who opened indiscriminate fire. The attack resulted in the death of two youths, while one sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a private hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred around 8:30 AM in Radaur’s Kheri Lakha Singh village. The victims had just finished exercising at the Power Gym and were heading home when the attackers fired 15-20 rounds at them as they exited the gym.
Among the victims, Virender Kumar from Golani village in Yamunanagar and Pankaj Kumar from Baghpat’s Baraut in Uttar Pradesh lost their lives on the spot. Arjun, a resident of Unehri village in Yamunanagar, was seriously injured in the attack.
Initial reports suggest that 4-5 masked attackers carried out the shooting. Upon receiving the news, Yamunanagar SP Rajiv Deshwal visited the hospital to meet the injured youth. He assured that a thorough investigation is underway and that the culprits will be apprehended soon.
