Ludhiana, February 28:

Ludhiana rural police took decisive action late in the evening by demolishing the property of a woman allegedly involved in drug peddling. This move came after a viral video showed a heated argument between the village Sarpanch of Narangwal, Manjinder Singh, and the accused woman.

In the video, Manjinder Singh, who also heads the village’s Nasha Virodhi Committee, is seen confronting the woman, urging her to stop selling drugs. However, she boldly challenges him, claiming she will continue despite any opposition. Singh further stated that individuals linked to the drug trade had also issued threats against him and other committee members.

Following the video’s circulation, police intensified their crackdown on drug-related activities in the village. Manjinder Singh revealed that Punjab Chief Minister personally called him after seeing the footage and assured strict action. He expressed gratitude to the CM and the state government for their swift response.

According to SSP Ludhiana Rural Dr. Ankur Gupta, the woman and her husband already have three registered cases related to drug peddling.
