Social Media Influencer Preeti Kali Arrested in Hit-and-Run Case

Social media influencer Preeti Sandhu, also known as Kali, has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident. The accident occurred on the night of December 31 when Preeti, driving her Scorpio, rammed into another Scorpio and fled the scene. The crash left a young girl and her parents injured. Following the incident, the victim announced a reward of ₹51,000 for information about the accused.

How Did the Accident Happen?

The victim, Apindrapal Singh, reported that December 31 was his birthday, and he was out celebrating with his family at a restaurant. Around midnight, as they were returning home in their Scorpio, a speeding Scorpio crashed into their vehicle. The collision left Apindrapal, his wife Nancy, and their daughter Sunaya injured.

According to Apindrapal, the accused, Preeti, stepped out of her car after the crash but did not assist the victims. Instead, she fled the scene in her vehicle. Bystanders helped the injured family and rushed them to the hospital.

Victim Seeks Help Through Social Media

After being discharged from the hospital on January 1, Apindrapal lodged a police complaint and took to social media to seek help. In his post, he wrote, “At 12:37 am near Skylark Khanda Chowk, GT Road, a speeding car crashed into my Scorpio, pushing it into an iron grill. My family and I were injured in the incident.”

He further appealed to the public for information about the accused, offering a reward of ₹51,000 to anyone who could provide details about her and her vehicle.

How Was the Accused Caught?

The social media post went viral, and on January 2, an acquaintance of Preeti informed Apindrapal about her identity. The informer revealed that the accused, Preeti Sandhu alias Kali, resided in Safidon. Acting on this tip, a police team reached Safidon and apprehended Preeti.

The police also seized her Scorpio, which contained several bottles of alcohol and other items. Preeti was brought to the Panipat police station for further investigation, and legal proceedings are underway.
