Mumbai, January 16:
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was brutally attacked inside his Bandra residence during a burglary attempt in the early hours of Thursday. An unidentified intruder entered the actor’s home at around 3:30 am and stabbed him six times during a physical altercation. One of the knife wounds was dangerously close to Saif’s spinal cord.
The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he is undergoing surgery performed by a team of specialists. According to hospital sources, Saif is out of danger but suffered two deep cuts, requiring immediate medical attention.
Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor, and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, were present in the house at the time of the incident but were unharmed.
Mumbai Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the attacker, with officers stating that ensuring justice is their priority.
Doctors at Lilavati Hospital revealed the severity of the injuries, emphasizing the proximity of one wound to Saif’s spine. The shocking attack has sparked concern, particularly given that it occurred within the safety of the actor’s own home.
