Punjab, March 3:
A pastor from a church in Punjab’s Jalandhar district is facing serious allegations of sexual harassment. According to police reports, a woman has come forward with a complaint stating that she and her family have been attending the church since October 2017.
The accused, Pastor Bajinder Singh, who gained online fame through the viral ‘Mera Yeshu Yeshu’ video, allegedly acquired the woman’s mobile number and started sending her messages. She claimed she was too afraid to inform her parents about the situation.
The woman alleges that since 2022, Singh would make her sit alone in a cabin at the church on Sundays, where he allegedly hugged and touched her inappropriately. She further accused him of following her to college and threatening her with serious consequences if she disclosed his actions.
FIR Filed Against Bajinder Singh
The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under IPC sections 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking), and 506 (criminal intimidation). Kapurthala City police station house officer, Bikramjit Singh, stated that the allegations are under investigation and that Singh’s arrest will be based on the collected evidence.
Supporters Protest, Block Road
Following the FIR, Singh’s supporters blocked the Nakodar-Jalandhar road, alleging that the case is a conspiracy against him. Avtar Singh, a close associate of the pastor, claimed that the woman has not visited the church for the past three years.

Originally from Haryana, Bajinder Singh converted to Christianity in 2012 and became a preacher. He has previously faced allegations, including a rape case in 2022, but was acquitted due to insufficient evidence.
