Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, the AAP candidate, has emerged victorious in the Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency of Punjab, according to the Election Commission’s results. Hayer secured a commanding lead of 1,72,560 votes over his closest competitor, Sukhpal Singh Khaira from the Congress party.
The Sangrur parliamentary seat, known as a stronghold of the AAP, reaffirmed the party’s influence in the region with Hayer’s win.
The vote counting process for the 13 Lok Sabha constituencies in Punjab began at 8 am, with stringent security measures in place to ensure a smooth and fair process.
