Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann visited Mubarikpur in Derabassi, Mohali, on Thursday to attend the Jain Bhagwati Initiation Festival. The event was organized by the Jain community. During the program, CM Mann stated that the state government is working for the welfare of the people and the development of Punjab by following the path shown by great gurus, saints, sages, prophets, and martyrs. Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and his wife were also present at the event.
The Chief Minister praised Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, saying that since Kataria assumed the roles of Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator, governance in Punjab and administration in Chandigarh have been running smoothly. He highlighted Kataria’s extensive experience, describing him as a seasoned decision-maker due to his past roles as a minister, MP, and MLA. CM Mann mentioned that he is personally benefiting from the Governor’s experience.
CM Mann also emphasized his responsibility as the head of the state to protect the interests of all residents. He described Punjab as a sacred and blessed land where people of all religions, languages, and communities live in peace and harmony. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received from the people and affirmed his commitment to serving the state with dedication.
