Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu announced plans for legislative actions to address bomb threats targeting airlines. This includes placing individuals responsible for such threats on a no-fly list. Over the past week, nearly 100 Indian airline flights have faced bomb threats, prompting urgent measures.
Naidu mentioned that amendments are being considered for aviation security regulations, including changes to the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Against Safety of Civil Aviation Act, 1982. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) is actively coordinating with the Ministry of Home Affairs to tackle the ongoing threats.
