After winning the election, Congress candidate Manish Tewari expressed his intention to collaborate with his rival Sanjay Tandon to further enhance the beauty of Chandigarh. “There is no bitterness against my rival Sanjay Tandon. He fought a good election. I hope by cooperating with each other, we will make the City Beautiful more beautiful,” Tewari told reporters after leaving the counting centre in Sector 26.
Tewari also praised the efforts of the INDIA bloc alliance in Chandigarh. “I thank a lot to all workers of INDIA, who worked hard for 45 days day and night. Due to their hard work and consistent efforts, the victory could be made possible,” he said. Tewari emphasized the importance of ground-level work and credited his victory to the dedication of the INDIA bloc workers.
He extended special thanks to party president HS Lucky, senior AAP leader Chandermukhi Sharma, AAP co-incharge SS Ahluwalia, and leaders from the Samajwadi Party, the Left, and the RJD for their support and contributions to his campaign.
