Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has made significant announcements for the state’s residents on the occasion of Savitribai Phule’s birth anniversary. During an event in Bahadurgarh, the CM paid tribute to Savitribai Phule, acknowledging her not only as India’s first female teacher but also as a pioneer of women’s rights and empowerment.
Savitribai Phule’s Birth Anniversary to Be Celebrated Officially
The Chief Minister declared that Savitribai Phule’s birth anniversary will now be celebrated officially by the state. Additionally, the government has decided to rename the Government Women’s College in Loharu, Bhiwani, after Savitribai Phule to honour her legacy.
Metro Expansion from Bahadurgarh to Asaudha
In a significant development for Bahadurgarh, CM Saini announced that the state government is working on extending the metro line from Bahadurgarh to Asaudha. He also mentioned that once certain criteria are fulfilled, Bahadurgarh Municipal Council will be upgraded to Municipal Corporation status.
Focus on New Development Projects
The Chief Minister outlined various development initiatives, including the construction of an underpass at Linepar crossing, the renovation of Bahadurgarh Road, the establishment of a park near the old court premises, and the creation of a gymnasium and yoga centre on vacant land near the old bus stand. He assured that these projects would be implemented swiftly after feasibility studies.
Chhath Puja Ghats and Bypass Work
CM Saini announced the construction of Chhath Puja Ghats in Wards 7 and 10. He also committed to expediting the completion of the northern bypass and the construction of a new grain market. The government will continue regularising unauthorised colonies and providing essential services in them. He encouraged residents to share information about such colonies to ensure they are regularised upon meeting necessary conditions.
These announcements signal a promising phase of development for Bahadurgarh and surrounding areas, bringing a fresh wave of progress to the region.
