Kapurthala, February 6:
The Income Tax Department conducted a raid at the residence of Congress leader and Kapurthala MLA Rana Gurjit Singh. According to sources, the raid took place on Thursday morning when a team from Chandigarh arrived at his house on Circular Road in Kapurthala.
Officials reached the location in multiple vehicles, accompanied by personnel from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). As soon as the team arrived, the house gates were locked from the inside. It is reported that this operation was carried out by the Income Tax Department, though no official confirmation has been provided yet.
Additionally, searches were also conducted at Rana Gurjit Singh’s government residence in Chandigarh. Further details regarding the raid are still awaited.
