Jalandhar (Punjab), January 13:
A tragic accident in Jalandhar’s Adampur area claimed the life of a 45-year-old man due to injuries caused by Chinese kite string (manjha). The incident occurred two days ago when Harpreet Singh was returning home on his motorcycle and got entangled in the sharp string, which severely injured his neck.
Harpreet was initially taken to a private hospital in Adampur, but his condition was critical, and he was referred to PGI Hospital in Chandigarh. Despite medical efforts, he passed away on Lohri while undergoing treatment.
Reports suggest that Harpreet was traveling from Adampur to his village, Sarobad, when the kite string struck his neck, causing a deep wound. He collapsed on the road and was rushed to the hospital by bystanders. However, his life could not be saved despite immediate medical attention.
