Jalandhar, February 24:
The Division No. 6 police station in Jalandhar has registered a case against four accused in connection with the gang rape of a pastor’s wife. According to sources, the incident involved the wife of a pastor from Fatehgarh Sahib. As of now, no arrests have been made.
In her statement to the police, the victim revealed that she belongs to the Christian community and frequently travels across various districts in Punjab for religious preaching. Her husband and other associates often accompany her. She was acquainted with Pastor Faris Masih from Jalandhar and had previously participated in religious events with him, leading to regular communication between them.
The woman alleged that she had come to Jalandhar to collect some money from Faris. It was during this visit that the crime took place.
According to the victim, when she met Faris in Jalandhar, he placed his hand on her head under the pretense of giving a blessing, after which she lost consciousness. When she regained her senses, she experienced severe body pain, making her suspect that something wrong had happened to her. She later approached the police and filed a complaint. Following an investigation, the police registered a case, and further action is underway.
