IIT Baba, also known as Abhay Singh, who gained prominence during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh, has once again made headlines. He has accused a private news channel of mistreating him during a live debate.

In a video shared on social media, he claimed that he was physically assaulted during an interview at the media house.

IIT Baba’s Allegations

Abhay Singh stated in his complaint that he was invited by a private news channel for an interview. During the session, some individuals allegedly misbehaved with him. He further claimed that a few people dressed in saffron robes entered the newsroom and attempted to physically assault him.

According to him, they tried to lock him inside a room, and one individual, identified as Swami Vedmurti Nand Saraswati, attacked him with a stick. To document the incident, he started a live video on Instagram.

Who is IIT Baba?

Abhay Singh, popularly known as IIT Baba, hails from Haryana. He holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay. After completing his studies, he secured a high-paying job in Canada but later chose to leave his career behind to pursue a spiritual path. His journey gained attention during Mahakumbh 2025, when an interview of his went viral, earning him the title of IIT Baba. Despite his rising popularity, he has faced controversies, including his expulsion from the Juna Akhara. However, his influence on social media has remained strong.
