Haryana, March 1:
The Haryana Board recently conducted its Secondary (Educational/Open School) Mathematics examination, during which multiple instances of malpractice were recorded. Reports indicate that 36 cases of unfair means were detected, leading to the removal of two invigilators for negligence. Additionally, an FIR has been registered against three students in connection with the incident.
A total of 2,87,023 students appeared for the Haryana board exams across 1,355 examination centers in the state. To maintain the integrity of the examination process, the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) Chairman deployed 219 flying squads to conduct surprise inspections at various centers. Board Secretary Ajay Chopra confirmed that the squad led by the Board President visited several districts to monitor exam proceedings.
So far, 97 cases of unfair means have been recorded as authorities continue to take strict action against malpractice.
Measures to Prevent Paper Leaks and Malpractice
To curb incidents of paper leaks, the BSEH has implemented advanced security measures. Question papers now feature alpha-numeric codes, QR codes, and hidden security elements to track any unauthorized distribution. If an individual—whether a candidate, invigilator, or staff member—attempts to capture and share images of the question paper, the security system will immediately identify the source of the leak and take necessary action.
With these stringent measures in place, the Haryana Education Board remains committed to ensuring fair and transparent examinations for all students.
